What programs does Afritech Institute offer?
Fifteen Level 1 (National Diploma) programs across two families: Digital Technology (9 programs, from Application Development to AI & Machine Learning) and Technical Trades (6 programs, from Solar Engineering to Tiling). Level 2 offers five HND specialties, and we also run short professional courses and online courses.
What are the entry requirements?
It depends on the program: some Level 1 programs accept the GCE O/L, others require the A/L. HND specialties require the A/L. Each program page shows its exact entry level.
How much does it cost?
The application fee is 20,000 FCFA. Tuition is 240,000 FCFA per year, payable in 3 installments of 130,000, 70,000 and 40,000 FCFA. Technical Trades add a 40,000 FCFA practical fee for workshop materials.
Are there scholarships?
Yes. Scholarships are available and issued on a first come, first served basis: another reason to apply early.
When is the next intake?
We admit once per year, in September/October. The next start date is 5 October 2026.
Is the training in English or French?
Both. English-speaking and French-speaking candidates are admitted together, then separated into English-medium and French-medium classes at the training level.
What certification will I graduate with?
Level 1 graduates earn official MINEFOP qualifications (DQP or CQP depending on the program). Level 2 graduates earn a MINESUP Higher National Diploma (HND). Assessment is 30% continuous assessment and 70% final examination per course.
Do I need my own laptop?
Yes, students train on their own laptops: that way, everything you learn stays with you. The campus provides free internet and stable electricity.
Will I do an internship?
Yes. Digital Technology programs complete one mandatory internship. Technical Trades complete two internships per year: one month after Semester 1 and two months after Semester 2. All students defend a final project.
Can I study fully online?
Our online courses are fully remote and open to anyone worldwide. Campus programs are mostly in-person in Dschang with some online delivery.
