Tiling

DQP Entry: O/L 1 year · 2 semesters · 2 internships

Walk into any modern building in Cameroon and look down: someone was paid well to lay that floor. The Tiling program (official appellation: Tile Building) teaches you to set out, cut and lay tiles with the precision that makes contractors call you back, from bathrooms and kitchens to full commercial floors.

The program has an O/L entry level, includes two internships per year, and leads to the official MINEFOP DQP qualification (code CARR). It is a focused skill with immediate, everyday market demand.

What you will be able to do

  • Prepare floors and walls for tiling
  • Set out, cut and lay tiles with precision
  • Work with different tile types and adhesives
  • Finish edges, joints and details cleanly
  • Measure, estimate and quote tiling jobs
