2026 GCE Results Cameroon: Download O Level, A Level & TVEE PDFs + Full Analysis

Cameroonian students reviewing the 2026 GCE results and national performance analysis

The 2026 GCE results in Cameroon were released on Friday, 21 August 2026. You can download the complete Ordinary Level, Advanced Level, TVEE Intermediate Level and TVEE Advanced Level result PDFs below. This page also explains how to find a candidate in a long PDF and provides a detailed analysis of the official 2026 performance statistics.

Quick result: 196,579 candidates sat the four examinations and 133,429 passed, producing an overall success rate of 67.88%. The rate was 75.46% in 2025, so national performance fell by 7.58 percentage points.

Last reviewed: 27 August 2026. These files reproduce the 2026 centre-by-centre result lists and statistical releases supplied for this article. For final verification, candidates should use the Cameroon GCE Board’s official channels or their registration centre.

Search the 2026 GCE results by candidate name

Before opening a 100- to 420-page PDF, try Afritech Institute’s free 2026 GCE Results Finder. It searches 133,430 published records from the four result documents and can tolerate small spelling differences. Every match identifies the source document and page so that you can cross-check it.

Search a candidate in the 2026 GCE Results Finder →

The finder is an independent Afritech Institute tool, not an official Cameroon GCE Board service. A missing name does not prove failure, and every match should be checked in the source PDF and with the appropriate official channel.

How to find your name in a 2026 GCE results PDF

The O Level result file has 420 pages and the A Level file has 270 pages. Scrolling from the first page is slow. Use the PDF search function instead.

On an Android phone

  1. Tap the correct download link above and save the PDF.
  2. Open the file in Chrome, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat or your phone’s PDF reader.
  3. Tap the search icon or the three-dot menu and choose Find.
  4. Search first for your examination centre number or centre name.
  5. Within that section, search your surname. Try the exact spelling used during registration.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Download and open the PDF in Safari, Files or Books.
  2. Use Find on Page or the magnifying-glass icon.
  3. Search for the centre number, then the candidate name.

On a computer

Open the PDF and press Ctrl + F on Windows or Command + F on Mac. Search for the centre number before the name because similar names can occur in different centres.

If a name does not appear, check spelling, name order and the correct examination file. A successful-candidate list is useful for quick checking, but the official result slip from the registration centre is the authoritative personal record.

How to verify the 2026 Cameroon GCE results officially

The official release advises candidates to verify results at their registration centres. Results may also be announced on radio, while result slips are collected from registration centres. Use the Cameroon GCE Board website for Board notices and result services.

Do not pay an unknown person who promises to change a grade, issue a result slip or reveal a “withheld” result. Contact the examination centre or the GCE Board through an official channel.

2026 GCE results analysis: national performance

Examination Registered Sat Passed 2026 pass rate 2025 pass rate Change
GCE Ordinary Level 98,040 88,053 65,539 74.43% 78.57% −4.13 points
GCE Advanced Level 70,739 69,947 43,211 61.78% 79.39% −17.60 points
TVEE Intermediate Level 29,054 27,775 16,804 60.50% 52.10% +8.39 points
TVEE Advanced Level 10,908 10,804 7,875 72.89% 71.19% +1.70 points
All four examinations 208,741 196,579 133,429 67.88% 75.46% −7.58 points

The biggest movement was at GCE Advanced Level, where the pass rate declined by 17.60 percentage points. Ordinary Level also declined, but less sharply. Both technical streams improved: TVEE Intermediate Level gained 8.39 points and TVEE Advanced Level gained 1.70 points.

A percentage-point change is not the same as a percentage change. For example, the overall rate moved from 75.46% to 67.88%, a decrease of 7.58 percentage points.

School candidates performed better than external candidates

At Ordinary Level, regular school candidates recorded a 78.27% pass rate, compared with 57.99% for external candidates. At Advanced Level, regular school candidates achieved 69.95%, while external candidates recorded 42.55%.

The gap does not prove that candidate status alone caused the result. School candidates usually receive more structured teaching, assessment and peer support, while external candidates can face very different preparation conditions. The figures show a strong association, not an explanation for every learner.

Performance by school category

Institution category O Level pass rate A Level pass rate
Denominational schools 91.25% 86.06%
Non-denominational private schools 81.22% 67.42%
Government schools 71.91% 68.97%
External candidates 57.99% 42.55%
Special schools 56.25% 73.33%

Denominational schools led both levels nationally. Some categories have much smaller candidate populations than others, so readers should compare both the rate and the number who sat before drawing broad conclusions.

Which regions performed best in the 2026 GCE?

GCE Ordinary Level regional ranking

  1. Centre — 78.95%
  2. Littoral — 78.30%
  3. West — 74.99%
  4. North West — 74.79%
  5. South West — 69.54%
  6. East — 68.70%
  7. Adamawa — 66.94%
  8. South — 64.47%
  9. Far North — 52.47%
  10. North — 47.63%

GCE Advanced Level regional ranking

  1. South West — 64.98%
  2. West — 64.27%
  3. North West — 64.11%
  4. Adamawa — 63.00%
  5. Centre — 61.80%
  6. Littoral — 58.98%
  7. South — 55.47%
  8. East — 53.81%
  9. North — 49.19%
  10. Far North — 45.88%

No single region led both general examinations. Centre ranked first at O Level, while South West ranked first at A Level. The West Region remained among the top three at both levels.

Divisional highlights, including Menoua

Manyu recorded the highest O Level divisional pass rate at 90.10%, while Koung-Khi led A Level at 88.89%. Menoua Division, home to Dschang and Afritech Institute, recorded 81.10% at O Level and 68.51% at A Level, both above their respective national pass rates.

2026 GCE subject performance: the strongest and weakest rates

Subject pass rates must be interpreted with candidate numbers. A subject with a very small entry can show an extreme percentage that is not directly comparable to a core subject written by tens of thousands of candidates.

GCE Ordinary Level subject highlights

Higher pass-rate subjects Pass rate Lower pass-rate subjects Pass rate
Logic 91.06% Economics 27.78%
Special Bilingual French 89.65% Literature in English 29.96%
Food and Nutrition 87.26% Human Biology 39.40%
Religious Studies 78.36% Commerce 46.05%
Geography 78.27% Chemistry 50.98%

Among major O Level subjects, English Language recorded 77.38%, French 68.47%, Biology 62.01%, Computer Science 59.58%, Mathematics 58.51% and Physics 56.86%.

GCE Advanced Level subject highlights

Higher pass-rate subjects Pass rate Lower pass-rate subjects Pass rate
Food Science and Nutrition 87.99% Pure Mathematics with Statistics 21.14%
Religious Studies 86.57% ICT 34.04%
English 76.31% Economics 40.13%
Special Bilingual French 74.29% Literature in English 41.23%
Philosophy 69.60% History 43.95%

Cinematic Art recorded 100%, but only 28 candidates sat, so it should not be read as evidence that it was nationally “easier.” Other prominent rates included Physics at 63.47%, Further Mathematics at 59.90%, Biology at 59.07%, French at 50.33%, Chemistry at 48.45%, Computer Science at 44.93% and Pure Mathematics with Mechanics at 44.34%.

What the 2026 statistics say about examination malpractice

The official statistics list 2,792 reported malpractice incidences in 2026, compared with 2,751 in 2025. Pre-prepared material declined from 2,028 to 1,010 incidences, but collusion or copied work increased from 542 to 1,580. Cell-phone cases rose from 118 to 166, and impersonation cases rose from 15 to 23.

These are incident counts in the report. They should not automatically be described as 2,792 different candidates because one reporting unit and one candidate are not necessarily the same thing.

What should you do after checking your GCE result?

  1. Confirm the result and collect the official result slip from your registration centre.
  2. Save a private digital copy and keep the original document safe.
  3. Check the exact subjects and grades required for your preferred course.
  4. Compare university, HND and professional training options by authorization, curriculum, total cost, practical work and progression.
  5. Apply before the intake deadline, but verify every institution before paying.
